The QIS Student Life Association (SLA)

"Learning is not the product of teaching. learning is the product of the activity of learners”

New ElQuds international School powerfully believes that education has the power to change the world. The QIS Student Life Association (SLA) gives students the opportunity to develop “life” skills that empower them to make a difference.

New ElQuds International School SLA is a combination of:

1. Community services.
2. Extracurricular activities.
3. Co-Curricular activities.
4. Alumni.

The SLA is the students' mini-society. Prefects who are selected manage SLA.
All students are encouraged to join SLA and take an active part in their education, both at the academic and non-academic levels. Working in cooperation with and complementing the efforts of the administrative and academic staff, SLA prefects are valuable assets to their schools.
They help to raise the general standard, promote high social and moral values, and encourage participation in a wide range of additional activities.
Student Life Coordinators allocate “real-life” tasks to students, and advise and support them in all of their efforts.

Involvement in SLA helps students develop essential life-skills. Students become responsible and caring citizens by learning to:
* Reverse negative attitudes.
* Improve general standards.
* Promote constructive thinking.
* Experience real-life work and responsibilities.
* Improve their communication and social skills

While being involved in SLA and having a good time, students acquire and refine the skills, attitudes, and attributes that give them an edge.
Having demonstrated that they have a broad base of abilities and experiences and that they can be effective team players. It is these same skills, attitudes, and attributes learned and developed through SLA that make our graduates successful at university and beyond.
